The PR1a photocell is a masterpiece of precision and power in a small package. A single model of photocell can be used in three different timing modes: photocell/reflector mode, long distance transmitter-receiver mode, and dual synchronized transmitter-receiver mode (meets or exceeds FIS specifications).

The PR1a is engineered from the ground up, with numerous state of the art features, dramatically improved useability, greater battery autonomy, and “one-stop-shopping” flexibility all in a package about half the size of the previous RLS1-series of photocells.

Other features include: Multifunction three-level multicolor LED to indicate battery state and signal strength (Green, Orange, Red), three-way mode switch, banana outputs for signal, DIN connector for powered cable from timer, synchro jack for interconnect cable to separate set of cells (synchronized FIS mode), easy access hatch for 2x AA batteries (will accept both alkalines and NiMh rechargeables), improved oversize tensioning knob, sliding visor/sun shield, built-in gimbal mount.

Also available in a fully self-contained wireless model, the PR1AW.
