Description
Summary
– Wireless photocell that can also be used with a wired connection.
– Performs in three modes: transmitter-reflector, long-range transmitter-receiver, and synchronized dual transmitter-receiver.
– Self-contained WTN wireless module for hassle-free operation.
– Multifunction multicolor LED for battery and signal-strength indicators.
– Runs on two AA batteries or can be powered externally by cable.
– High-power photocell supports super-wide finish lines (100 m+) when paired with another PR1A series photocell in TX-RX mode.
Description
Possessing all the features of the standard PR1a photocell, the PR1AW cell is part of the ALGE WTN (Wireless Timing Network). The photocell has a built-in 2.4 GHz radio module allowing impulse transmission over distances beyond 350 m (1000′). 15 different radio channels and 5 different timing channels are available. The photocell also allows for conventional cabled connections through banana jacks or a DIN plug.
LED indicators (green, yellow, and red) make alignment easy, and with an optional sync cable, you can synchronize two sets of cells to prevent interference between your main and backup systems.
When used in pairs of transmit-receive cells, beam range (finish line width) is in excess of 100 m / 350′. This should not be confused with the radio transmission range of 350 m / 1000′.
Note: For long-range TX-RX pairs, we normally recommend one PR1AW and one PR1A since only one side of the line actually transmits a radio signal to the timer. You may, however, use two PR1AW units as long as the radio function on one of them is switched off. Contact us for details.
